Tobias Alexander Ratka is a composer for film and television. He is based in Vienna, Austria - the city of music.

 

At seven years old, Tobias discovered his love for composition and music production. He started scoring short films and smaller projects during his youth until, eventually, he established a career in the industry.

At 19 years old, he composed the main title music for Austria’s well-known documentary franchise „Universum“ and since then, has scored numerous productions for cinema and television. His styles range from intimate, emotional pieces to Hard Rock and big Symphonic Orchestras.

In 2025, he contributed his skills as a music producer and additional music composer for Hans Zimmer and Aleksey Igudesman’s music to „Black Gold“ - a soundtrack that won them the Opus Klassik Award.

In 2026, he composed the original music for the highly anticipated revival of Austria’s most famous television series „Kommissar Rex“ (engl. Rex: Vienna Calling), which gained a peak ratings for the networks ORF and Sat.1.
