Tobias Alexander Ratka is an austrian composer for Film & Television.
He is known for his work for the austrian TV broadcaster ORF, where he (amongst other projects) composed the title signation for Austria's biggest documentary franchise "UNIVERSUM".
Besides his work for the Austrian TV, he composed the music for a slovak TV Series "The Worst Week of my Life" (english title) which airs weekly on TV Markiza.
Tobias also composed music for several feature films which celebrated theatrical premieres, scored numerous commercials, online shows and short films.
Tobias started composing at the age of seven and has been learning mostly on his own. He annually participates in workshops, where he's being taught by Hollywood composers like Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation), John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen) and T.J. Lindgren (additional music: Dumbo, Justice League, Avengers: Age of Ultron). Tobias also attended numerous symposiums & workshops by Hollywood-elite composers like Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, etc.
In 2019, Tobias signed a contract with the production house Atom Music Audio under which he released a production music album called "Heroes".
Tobias' music has been internationally awarded several times at film festivals like the Los Angeles Film Awards, New York Movie Awards & Oniros Film Awards. He was also nominated at events like the Hollywood North Film Awards & the London International Motion Picture Awards.
The documentary "Elephant to India" was nominated for the Austrian Film Awards (Österreichischer Filmpreis) in 2021.
